The $17 million rehabilitation of the 1908 Monsenor Romero Apartments in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington D.C. for continued use as 63 units of affordable housing by the National Housing Trust Enterprise Preservation Corporation. NHT/Enterprise is working with the building's tenant association to rehabilitate and re-open after a devastating 2008 fire.
From our Boston office:
The $55 million rehabilitation of the prominent Eastland Park Hotel (seen above, photo from the Eastland Park Hotel Facebook page) in downtown Portland, Maine. Designed in 1925 by Portland architect Herbert Rhodes, the twelve-story brick and limestone block hotel will be updated for continued hospitality use by RB Portland LLC using state and federal historic tax credits.
From our Chicago office:
Rehabilitation of the former Passionist Fathers Monastery, constructed in 1910 in the Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, as a senior housing community by Senior Lifestyle Corporation. MHA is also undertaking a National Register nomination for the monastery.
